Announced Allocation
The Announced Allocation increased by 19% on the 19th January 2026 to 100%. With the new water year starting on the 1st April and Kinchant Dam at Full Supply Level, an opening allocation of 74% was announced. On the 1st of May that was raised 3% to 77% and then on the 1st June it was raised 4% to 81%.
No Water Statement with this Invoice
At the 2023 AGM it was passed that EICL reduce to 2 meter reads per year, one at the end of the second quarter (end of September) and one at the end of the water year (end of March).
Therefore, no Water Statement comes with this invoice as no new meter reading was done.
Growers are reminded to clear around their meters before they are read next (late September – early October).
EICL AGM
EICL will hold its Annual General Meeting at 7:30pm on Wednesday the 18th November 2026 at the Eton Fire Shed.
Works Shutdown
The 3-week works shutdown period in May/June has been very productive. The weather was cool and sunny with minimal rain. This allowed us to complete the works as planned. A detailed report on this year’s works will be put on the website, in September.
In summary, the works consisted of:
- 2460m of Desilting
- 15 Air Valves/Risers
- 13 Meter Outlets
- 7 Isolation Valves & 4 Scour Valves
- 3 Lots of Earthworks
- 5 Concrete Structures Repaired
- One each:
- Offtake Gate
- Regulator Gate Valve
- Screen

Water Trading
If you are selling/purchasing/transferring a Water Allocation, you need to get your solicitor to contact us or in the very least send a copy of the Disclosure Statement so we are aware of the transaction and can give Sunwater our quick approval for the transfer to go ahead.
Changing Customer Details
A reminder that Eton Irrigation requires all changes to a customer’s details to be advised in writing using a Customer Details Form. This is to ensure that any changes are authorised by the correct person, that privacy is protected and to minimise the risk of fraud.
Water Ordering
A reminder that the Board has instructed EICL staff that the 24 hours’ water ordering notice period as defined in the Scheme Distribution Rules and Service Targets is to be strictly enforced. Water orders on 07 4977 5840 stating:
• outlet number
• start date/time
• flow rate or total volume
• duration or stop date/time
